SpinLab — Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 27/08/2026

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of SpinLab, operated by The Table Tennis Project CIC (Company No. SC854222), 14 South College Street, Aberdeen, AB11 6JX ("SpinLab", "we", "us", "our"). By making a booking, purchasing a membership, or entering our facility, you agree to these terms.

1. Bookings and Payment

1.1 Bookings may be made online through our booking system, or in person at our reception desk during opening hours.

1.2 Payment is required at the time of booking, whether made online or in person. Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received.

1.3 Walk-in bookings are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. We recommend booking in advance, particularly for peak times.

1.4 Prices are as displayed at the time of booking and may change from time to time. Changes will not affect bookings already confirmed.

1.5 You must provide accurate contact details when booking. We are not responsible for missed sessions caused by incorrect information. Where you book in person and choose not to provide contact details, we will be unable to notify you of any changes or cancellations to your session.

1.6 Receipts are issued by email for online bookings and are available on request for in-person purchases.

2. Cancellations and Refunds

2.1 Cancellations must be made at least 1 hour before your scheduled session to be eligible for a refund or credit. This applies to bookings made online and in person.

2.2 Cancellations made within 1 hour of the session start time, and no-shows, are not eligible for a refund or credit.

2.3 Cancellations may be made through our booking system, by contacting us directly, or in person at reception.

2.4 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a session (for example, due to facility issues, coach unavailability, or circumstances beyond our control). Where we cancel, you will be offered a full refund or a transfer to an alternative session.

2.5 Refunds, where due, will be processed to the original payment method within 14 days. Cash payments made in person will be refunded in cash or by bank transfer.

3. Memberships

3.1 Membership grants access to the sessions specified in your membership type, during advertised hours only.

3.2 Memberships may be purchased online or in person at reception.

3.3 Membership is personal to the named member and may not be transferred, shared, or lent to another person. We may ask for identification before granting access.

3.4 Recurring memberships renew automatically at the interval stated at purchase until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period.

3.5 Where a membership is paid for in person by a method that does not support automatic renewal, it is your responsibility to renew before your current period ends. Access will lapse if renewal is not completed.

3.6 Membership fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law or where we are unable to provide the service.

3.7 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a membership without refund in cases of serious or repeated breach of these terms, including abusive, unsafe, or discriminatory behaviour.

4. Facility Use and Conduct

4.1 Appropriate sports footwear with non-marking soles must be worn on the playing surface at all times. Outdoor footwear is not permitted on the courts.

4.2 Bats and balls are available for use where required. Equipment provided remains our property and must be returned at the end of your session. You may be charged for equipment that is lost or damaged through misuse.

4.3 Food and drink (other than water) are not permitted on the playing area.

4.4 You must follow the reasonable instructions of SpinLab staff and coaches at all times.

4.5 We operate a zero-tolerance approach to abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or unsafe behaviour. We may ask you to leave without refund, and may refuse future bookings.

4.6 We reserve the right to refuse entry or terminate a session where a person appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

5. Children and Young People

5.1 Children under [AGE] must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times, except during coached sessions where supervision is provided by our coaching staff.

5.2 Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring children are collected promptly at the end of a session.

5.3 All coaches working with children hold current PVG scheme membership.

5.4 Parents and guardians must inform us of any medical condition, disability, or additional support need relevant to their child's participation, so we can make appropriate arrangements. Where a booking is made in person, this information should be given to staff at the time of booking.

6. Health, Safety and Liability

6.1 You are responsible for ensuring you are physically fit to take part. If you have a medical condition or injury that may be affected by physical activity, seek advice from a healthcare professional before participating.

6.2 You participate in all activities at your own risk.

6.3 We do not accept liability for loss of or damage to personal property brought onto the premises.

6.4 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

6.5 Any accident or injury occurring on the premises must be reported to a member of staff immediately.

7. Photography and Filming

7.1 We may take photographs or video at SpinLab for promotional purposes. Where you or your child appear identifiably, we will seek consent in advance.

7.2 You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us; we will remove the material from our own channels but may not be able to recall content already shared by third parties.

7.3 Filming or photographing other users without their consent is not permitted.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking applies to that booking. Material changes will be notified to members in advance. A current copy is available on our booking system and at reception.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
